At first blush, our man in Los Angeles might seem to be a study in contradictions, as Scott is at once a globe-trotting adventure hound and a deeply-grounded homebody. When not traveling, you'll likely find him enthusiastically taking on his latest DIY project or just kicking back watching movies- storing up energy for the next adventure that lies ahead of him. But once out in the world, Scott leaves no stone unturned. Whether on the road for PortiCo or for pleasure, in each city he visits, Scott morphs into the proverbial kid in the candy store- not only taking in some of the famed museums and architectural sites each venue has to offer, but attending a local high school football game or exploring out-of-the-way community theatre. Scott's passion- and talent- is uncovering the perfect milieu in which to completely immerse himself in the everyday lives of the local people in every city he explores.
With degrees in communications and cultural geography and extensive experience in brand planning and market research, including five years spent at Rubin Postaer & Associates, Scott tends to develop strong relationships of confidence with clients that become longstanding fluid partnerships across multiple projects. He is equally at home with consumers, having a never-ending curiosity regarding the details of consumer experience. Possessing a remarkable ability to tap into cultures and trends at both the local and global levels, Scott has been involved in nearly all of PortiCo's national and international projects, managing all phases of our work from research design, interviews and brainstorming, to insights and implementation.
When not jet-setting hither and yon around the globe, Scott devours novels and the New Yorker, solves crossword puzzles the way his grandmother taught him when he was 10, and gets in a good swim as often as he possibly can.
