Sunetra Banerjee
Project Coordinator
sunetra@porticoresearch.com

Our newest employee and a Lowe Worldwide transplant, Sunetra is handling her challenging role as account coordinator with tremendous calm and aplomb. Frantic calls from the field, clients or recruiters are always met with a broad smile and a soothing voice from Sunetra, whose name in Sanskrit means "nice eyes."

Whether we can thank her Indian genes or the college years she spent in one of Santa Barbara’s beach communities for a great personality, we are learning from her about how to stay calm. She says her interest in people and how we all can share our differences helps her see the good in everything. But that’s not to say that Sunetra doesn’t have a manic (hum, creative) PortiCo streak, however.  Passionate about knitting, sewing and ceramics, she'll use every free minute she has to run to the garment district in Manhattan and get design ideas by staring at material and ribbons in fabric stores – or, to her relatives' dismay, work into the morning hours recycling her mom’s old saris into cool bags and different items of clothing. Just recently, she got her first order to create knitted belts for a trendy boutique in the East Village. She’s handling her early fame rather well, of course.
